More than ever, appointed and elected officials will need to partner with communities citywide and statewide to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, increase renewable energy, create good paying jobs and support a just transition to a net zero emissions energy system and economy. These climate solutions can also promote racial and economic justice for the frontline communities and low-income communities of color that bear the brunt of the harmful effects of poor air quality and climate change.
